South Carolina Breakfast Club

The South Carolina Breakfast Club has been meeting every other Sunday since 1938.  The breakfast location changes each Sunday and sometimes it’s close enough for us Georgia folk to fly in and join the fun.  January 8 is one of those times—Aiken Municipal Airport, KAIK.

Part of the fun is to arrive early, watch all the airplanes land, and help judge the worst of the landings.  The pilot with the worst landing is recognized after breakfast and has to sign the bouncing ball.  Potential winners have been known to back-taxi and take off rather than sign the ball!

Breakfast is served at 9:00 and you should be in line by then.

Christmas Party

Our 2011 Christmas Party is Friday December 16th, from 6pm to 9pm at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. For the third year in a row, we’re sharing Christmas with our friends at LMI Aerospace. Dinner this year is catered by Miss Sophie’s and features Prime Rib and Champagne Chicken. Desert is peach but anyone wanting to bring a dessert to share, may do so.

RSVPs were due back on December 6, and payment was due on the eleventh. (We hope you got yours in!)

The Mighty Eighth is hosting “The 3rd Annual Biggest Little Christmas Party” on the same night. It will be in the main entry way. Look for your Association and LMI friends in one of the banquet rooms.
